Identification

Abstract

This dataset shows hydraulic properties (hydraulic conductivity) in some areas of the Annapolis Valley. The aquifer extends in five watersheds: Annapolis, Cornwallis, Canard, Habitant and Pereau. Data came from the provincial database (157 values) and the GSC fieldwork (9 values). The hydraulic conductivity values range between 10-9 and 10-2 m/s, with median values between 5x10-7 and 1x10-5 m/s, indicating that a relatively good hydraulic capacity is available throughout the Valley.

Hydraulic conductivity (K) was estimated (by referring to available data in the Atlas) in m/s and than converted in m/day. Tranmissivity (T) was estimated (by referring to external data) in m²/sec and than concerted to m²/day. Storage coefficient values are from the field S_mean.
